David Lane wrote a second part to the “Pretext” paper. He talked about consciousness and how to reduce it down to its pretext. I thought this paper was interesting. He went on to talk about how consciousness can be transcending. It is interesting to see that this pretext conceot can be applied to basically anything. but as David had mentioned in the paper we will often come across question what is the pretext, context, and text? Its true that no matter what is being looked at it is as if it’s a cycle. One context is another’s pretext.

There was a short film called “Nicholas of Cusa”. It was of a boat sailing in the sky towards the sun and then away from the sun. It is the type of film that is open to interpretation. I wasn’t sure what to look for when watching this short film but I found it fun and lifting. I have no idea what the lyrics to the music went but the melody seemed to really fit the mood is the film. I wonder how much the lyrics to the song would effect my interpretation of the film. I felt that this film could have been about anything. For me it was about life journey. You could go in any direction but no matter what there will be one huge life changing moment that will help cement the direction you are going.
